Who is eligible?
We are using the definition of first responders per Connecticut General Statutes § 52-146v to include:
- Peace officers (such as police officers or constables)
- Firefighters (including municipal and private-employer firefighters)

- Telecommunicators (9-1-1 dispatchers)

What will be the cost?
Eligible first responders can complete one of four master's degree programs - MBA, MSMOL, MPA, or MSCJ - for a set tuition of $20,000.
When can I begin?
This would apply to new students starting in Mod 2 (October 2026) and Mod 3 (January 2027).
Which programs are eligible?
Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science in Criminal Justice
What other master's programs are available?
At Albertus, first responders receive a 25% discount on adult degree completion programs and 10 master's programs.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes. The College offers a monthly payment plan through Transact, allowing you to make convenient, interest-free monthly payments. The plan is accessible through the Transact Student Account Portal, available via the myAlbertus portal under the “MyAccount/SelfService” tile. Can I qualify for financial aid or student loans?
Students may apply for financial aid by completing the 2026–2027 FAFSA at StudentAid.gov and adding Albertus Magnus College School Code: 001374. For additional information or assistance, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Master of Science in Management & Organizational Leadership
What are the admission requirements for the program?
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must also submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, two letters of recommendation from former professors or professional associates, and a 500–600-word, double-spaced essay outlining their career interests, reasons for applying to the program, and expectations for graduate study.
*Students who do not meet the minimum G.P.A. requirement may still be considered for admission on a provisional basis, at the discretion of the Program Director.
How long will it take me to earn my degree?
Students can complete the program in as little as one year by taking two courses at a time.
Can I complete the program while working full-time?
Yes. The program is designed with flexibility in mind, making it possible for busy working adults to balance their education with professional and personal responsibilities.
Is the program offered online?
Yes. The program is offered fully online in an asynchronous format, allowing students to complete their coursework without attending classes at a specific time.
When can I start the program, and how often are new classes offered?
New students can begin the program five times per year. Terms, also referred to as modules, begin in August, October, January, March, and May.
What career opportunities can I pursue with this degree?
The Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership prepares you for leadership and management roles across a variety of industries. Master of Business Administration

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8* on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must also submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, two letters of recommendation from former professors or professional associates, and a 500–600-word, double-spaced essay outlining their career interests, reasons for applying to the program, and expectations for graduate study.

Master of Science in Criminal Justice
What are the admission requirements for the program?
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0* on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must also have completed at least 18 undergraduate credits in criminal justice and submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, two letters of recommendation from former professors or professional associates, and a 500–600-word, double-spaced essay outlining their career interests, reasons for applying to the program, and expectations for graduate study.
