"Project Algebra" Comes to Albertus August 9-13

Albertus will hold lesson study groups for middle and high school Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Algebra 2 teachers from August 9th through the 13th. The teachers come from southern Connecticut school districts and will participate in "Project Algebra", a grant-funded project of  the Summer Institute for the Connecticut Teacher Quality Partnership.

District math curriculum experts, lesson study experts, and two and four-year math and education faculty, including faculty from Albertus Magnus College, will lead the lesson study group sessions.  The visiting teachers will develop algebra lessons based on the Japanese Lesson Study and Understanding by Design methods of lesson/course development.
