Overview	The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in the sports medicine program for the College, including prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment, and rehabilitation. Assist in the daily management of the athletic training room. Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice. Work in conjunction with the other athletic trainers and team physicians Make referrals to necessary sources as needed. Apply appropriate protective padding, taping, etc., when necessary. Provide athletic training services for the College varsity sports: practices and home contests. Keep accurate records and documentation of all medical history forms, athletic injury forms, concussion forms, and rehabilitation progress notes. Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (lifting, standing, etc.) Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications	Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred. BOC certification required Be eligible or licensed in the state of Connecticut and maintain current CPR/AED certification

Education	Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; master’s degree preferred.

Special Work Schedule Requirements	Evening and some weekend hours required.
