Athletic Trainer (9 Month Position)
Overview |
- The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in the sports medicine program for the
College, including prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury
treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Assist in the daily management of the athletic training room.
- Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice.
- Work in conjunction with the other athletic trainers and team physicians
- Make referrals to necessary sources as needed.
- Apply appropriate protective padding, taping, etc., when necessary.
- Provide athletic training services for the College varsity sports: practices and home
contests.
- Keep accurate records and documentation of all medical history forms, athletic injury forms,
concussion forms, and rehabilitation progress notes.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (lifting, standing, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications |
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
- BOC certification required
- Be eligible or licensed in the state of Connecticut and maintain current CPR/AED certification

Education |
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; master’s degree preferred.

Special Work Schedule Requirements |
Evening and some weekend hours required.
