Concentrations in Psychology

Art Therapy

Use the creative arts in psychotherapy to facilitate healing. Prepare for graduate training in art therapy or other mental health fields where you’ll work with mental health professionals as an art therapist to offer your clients an outlet for creative expression and a method for enhancing self-esteem through personal communication using various media. Internships and practicum experiences provide hands-on application of classroom learning.

Child Development

Focus specifically on the welfare of children as you prepare to work in the prevention and remediation of emotional, behavioral, and educational problems. Internship and practicum experiences provide practical application of classroom learning, which you can use to pursue a career in preschool and elementary education, employment, or graduate studies in child development or related fields.

Counseling and Mental Health

Gain the foundational knowledge and skills that you will need to work with clients in counseling and clinical settings and to pursue graduate studies in mental health and related fields.  Internships and practicum experiences provide practical application of classroom learning.

General Psychology

Prepare to pursue the graduate study usually required to work with corporations or consulting firms as an organizational psychologist or for employment in business and organizational settings through this interdisciplinary program that explores personnel selection, training and development and consumer behavior.
