Undergraduate Degree Program

Political Science

We all live in communities, large or small, but how often do we consider the ways our societies are structured and how we create order and justice among citizens with varied interests?

As a major in political science at Albertus Magnus College, you’ll systematically explore the actions we take to create the societies where we live and how we determine our relationship to the local, national and global communities.

Develop your analytical skills, discuss the dynamic nature of human affairs and learn to communicate your insights as you examine classic political theory, international relations, constitutional law, politics in film, American government, nationalism, revolutions, utopias and dystopias and the American presidency.

Our friendly, accessible, professional faculty members foster lively discussions in small classes. They support your individual development through one-on-one attention, fieldwork experiences and independent study projects. You may also choose to minor in political science.
