The Creative Journey: Inspiration and Revision with Charles Rafferty

Charles Rafferty will read from his poetic work and talk about the writing process--the unpredictability of inspiration, the need for a schedule, and the absolute necessity for revision. Afterward, there will be a Q&A session focused on poetry and publishing.

Charles Rafferty is the director of the MFA program in Writing at Albertus Magnus College. He is the author of 12 published collections of poetry and has contributed poems, stories, and essays to publications such as The New Yorker, The Oprah Magazine, The Southern Review, and Poetry Daily. Rafferty is the 2009 recipient of a fellowship in Creative Writing from the National Endowment of the Arts and has been given grants for his work by the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism.
