How does
the accelerated pace work?
Our Accelerated Degree Program offers
five, eight-week modules throughout the year. Mods
1 and 2 are during the fall, Mods 3 and 4 are during
the spring, and Mod 5 is during the summer. Most
of
our students are full-time, which means that they
take two classes every Mod. By taking two classes
during
all five Mods, students earn 30 credits a year and
can complete their Associate degree in two years
and
their Bachelor degree in four years.
Students who have transfer credits, take more than
two classes each mod, or take classes during our
summer
inter-session may complete their Associate or Bachelor
degree in even less time!

offer any certificate programs?
Yes, we offer three certificate programs.
They are The
Certificate in Business Administration, The

Certificates require the completion of six to eight
classes in a given discipline. The required courses
for these certificates may be applied to both an Associate

What time
do your courses meet?
Most of our courses meet twice a week
in the evening. We have Monday / Wednesday classes
or Tuesday / Thursday classes that meet from 5:30PM
to 7:50PM or from 8PM to 10:20PM. Students who wish
to take two classes may take them "back to back"
on the same days or come to class on different days.
We also offer a few Saturday morning courses that
run from 8:30AM to 1:10PM. Please click on our Course
Schedule to see our course selection and times.

Does the
Accelerated Degree Program offer online courses?
Yes. Our program offers nearly 40%
of our courses either in a blended or online format.
Blended courses, which we call AMC NetOption, meet
once a week in a classroom setting, and once a week
through performing various assignments on-line in
an asynchronous format. This format gives students
the flexibility of spending more time at home while
still being able to have physical classroom contact
with professors and peers. (Please note: Our program
does not offer enough online / blended courses for
a student to earn his or her degree entirely through
this format.)

Is Financial

Yes! Both full and part time matriculated
students may apply for financial aid at Albertus Magnus
College. Full time students are those who take two
or more classes per Mod, and part time students are
those who take one class per Mod. To apply, matriculated
students must fill out the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) and an institutional aid application.

Does Albertus
Magnus College accept transfer credits?
Albertus Magnus College will accept
transfer credits from any regionally accredited two
or four year college. (Coursework must be completed
with a minimum grade of C or better.) In order to
have your transcripts evaluated, you must have official
transcripts sent from that institution to the Office
of Continuing Education. Once you have become a matriculated
student in our Accelerated Degree Program, the Registrar
will evaluate the transcripts and assign credit accordingly.
Here are some basic guidelines:
A maximum of 90 credits is transferable
toward a Bachelor degree from an accredited four-year
college for work done satisfactorily (grade C or better).
A maximum of 64 credits (grade C or
better) is transferable toward a Bachelor degree from
junior and community colleges.
A maximum of 39 credits (grade C or
better) is transferable toward an Associate degree.

I receive credit for life experience?
Students may receive credit for
life experience through CLEP and / or DANTES examinations,
challenge exams, or portfolios. Most life experience
credit is given through the examination option.
