WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL LOOKING FOR FIRST WIN

The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team has had a tough season so far this year but have continued to battle through it.  “The women have worked very hard this season at developing their game and learning the game of volleyball," said Head Coach Steven Wydra, "Injuries and lack of depth continue to hamper us but the team continues to improve everyday.” Women’s Volleyball plays host to Becker College on Thursday at 7:00 PM

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL UPENDED BY SUFFOLK AND RIVIER

The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team dropped a tough match to a very strong Rivier team on Saturday.  The Lady Falcons responded by playing their best games of the season but lost to Suffolk University 30-14, 30-15, 32-30, and 30-10.  The Lady Falcons travel to Boston, MA and Simmons College on Saturday for a 1:00 PM start.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNED BY SOUTHERN VERMONT

The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team dropped a tough match after a long 4 hour bus ride to Benington, VT on Sunday Night.  Albertus battled in the third game making it close, but the team ultimately lost 3-0.  The Lady Falcons travel to Boston, MA on Saturday for a GNAC Tri- Match with Suffolk University and Mt. Ida College.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS FIRST TRI-MATCH OF THE YEAR

The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team dropped it's first tri-match of the year to GNAC opponents Lasell College and Emerson College.  Albertus was paced by senior Outside Hitter Jess Zanghi (Milford, CT). The Lady Falcons drop to 0-3 on the year and travel to Bennington, VT to face Southern Vermont College on Sunday at 1:00 PM

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS SEASON OPENER

The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team dropped it's first match of the season against visiting Mitchell College 30-19, 30-24, 30-21 on Thursday NIght.  The Falcons received strong play from senior outside hitter Jess Zanghi (Milford, CT) and sophomores Christen Bell (Stratford, CT) and Stephanie Lapre (Branford, CT).  The Lady Falcons host a Tri Match vs. Lasell College and Emerson College at 10:30 AM on Saturday in The Nest.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL OPENS SEASON ON THURSDAY

The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team opens the season home against in state opponent Mitchell College at 7:00 PM in The Nest.  First year coach Steve Wydra has some work ahead of him in rebuilding a volleyball team that lost players to both graduation and transfer.  The Lady Falcons have three returning starters in senior Jess Zanghi (Milford, CT) and sophomores Christin Bell and Stephanie Lapre.  "I am looking forward to working with the experienced players and building a team around them.  The team will need to work hard at getting to the level of our competition, but I feel confident that we can acheive this.  Our freshman class looks promising and if we can stay healthy, this team will improve over last season," stated Wydra.
