LADY FALCONS SEASON WRAP-UP AND REVIEW
The 2007 Lady Falcons finished their 2007 season with 10-6-3, 6-6-2 GNAC record while making the GNAC playoffs for the second time in program history. The Lady Falcons improved drastically over last year's 2 win season. "I was very pleased with our consistently positive attitude and solid work ethic this season," stated first-year coach Nick Wajnowski. The 2007 Lady Falcons won more total games this season than in the entire 3 years prior. The program made tremendous strides this season and to win 10 games in just the fourth year of existence is a very good sign for next season. Wajnowski agrees. "We will miss our two senior captains' Sam Sheppard (West Haven, CT) and Erin Blake (West Haven, CT) leadership on and off the field but are returning a solid core for next season," he said. That core includes 10 starters and leading scorer Sam Gigliotti (Wilton, CT). "With a solid recruiting class and group of returners, we fully expect to contend for a GNAC title next season," stated Wajnowski. |
