COACH PANZO OPTIMISTIC FOR 2008 SEASON
The 2008 Lady Falcons Softball Team will feature a strong senior class and many newcomers. The Lady Falcons will start 5 seniors and will rely upon their leadership to bring the team along this season. Seniors Erin Blake C/SS/OF (West Haven, CT), Jess Zanghi 3B/1B/P (Milford, CT), Meredith Berry P/SS (Meriden, CT), and Liz Webster OF/1B (Deephaven, MN) will provide a solid core of experience this season. Newcomers senior Sam Sheppard OF (West Haven, CT). junior Gia Paturzo OF (North Haven, CT), sophomores Stephanie Lapre IF (Branford, CT), Jessica Neubig C (North Haven, CT), and Ashley Flynn 1B/P/3B (Middletown, CT) all look to contribute right away. Coach Panzo feels that this year's team has the potential to finish strong in the GNAC this season. The Lady Falcons leave for Florida on March 15th and open up their season at home on March 24th vs. GNAC opponent St. Joe's (ME)
