Internships

Looking for valuable, hands-on experience that can complement your academic field of study? Consider Internships at Albertus Magnus College.  Internships can help boost a student’s academic, career, and individual development:

  • By applying classroom knowledge to real-life situations
  • Through the discovery of future educational opportunities
  • By building resumes and creating the opportunity to network with industry professionals
  • And through the development of self-confidence and critical thinking skills.
More than ever students need pre-job experience in their fields of study.  Here at Albertus Magnus College, one hundred twenty-four students completed internships during the 2007-2008 academic year in settings like these:
  • Connecticut Judicial Branch
  • Yale New Haven Hospital
  • Yale University School of Medicine psychiatric clinics
  • Department of Children and Families
  • WTNH
  • City of New Haven
  • J/RCA Records
  • Synthetic Cinema International
  • E/The Environmental Magazine
  • Unilever

Internship experiences can accelerate the process of launching a career after college. Are you ready to take the first step?  Don’t wait!  Stop by the Internship Office (Aquinas Hall) to get started.

Student Testimonials

“My internship was extremely beneficial in gaining hands on lab experience.  I networked with great people who are willing to help me with future endeavors.”

“I learned quite a bit about making films and how much more it is than just taking a camera and pointing at something.  I was amazed at how much time and effort went into one production.   I find myself much more understanding of the industry now.”
