Department of Education and Teacher Training

The Education Department at Albertus Magnus College offers a planned program at the undergraduate level, approved by the Connecticut Department of Education, that leads to an initial teacher certificate.

Our vision is that teacher candidates at Albertus Magnus College emerge from the program with competency in their fields, skill in the use of current instructional strategies, the ability to assess learning, and compassion for the many and diverse students in their classrooms.
