Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer

The Albertus Magnus College athletic department is seeking 2 part-time Certified Athletic Trainers for the 10 varsity sport athletic program. The position is approximately 10-20 hours a week. Fall, winter, and spring sports include soccer, tennis, cross-country, basketball, softball, and baseball.

Qualifications:
Candidate must be certified by the NATA as a Certified Athletic Trainer. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Adjunct Faculty Positions

Albertus Magnus College, a leader in non-traditional education, is seeking qualified applicants for adjunct teaching assignments in the School of New Dimensions which offers undergraduate and graduate business programs for adult learners.  Courses are offered on weekday evenings throughout Connecticut – New Haven, Hartford, Stratford, Danbury, Waterbury, and Niantic.  Primary needs are for New Haven and Hartford sites; however, a willingness to travel to other sites, especially Niantic, is preferred.

Undergraduate instructors are sought for these areas:  Humanities/English, Psychology/Sociology, Science/Math/Statistics, Information Technology, Philosophy/Religion, Business Case Studies, Business Law/Business Ethics, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Health Care Management, Total Quality Management, and Accounting/Economics.  Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate and professional experience in the subject area are required.   

Graduate instructors are sought for these areas:  Managerial Ethics/Legal Issues, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Managerial Finance/Economics, Financial Analysis, Organizational Behavior/Development, Global Management, Operations, Entrepreneurship, Executive Management, and Strategic Thinking.  Doctorate or appropriate terminal degree and professional experience in the subject area are required.

Albertus Magnus College – School of New Dimensions

Full-time Faculty Position in the area of Economics or Finance:  Albertus Magnus College seeks a full-time faculty member for a 12-month position that blends teaching and administrative responsibilities in a dynamic evening program for highly motivated adult professionals.  The College seeks an energetic and experienced individual who can work collaboratively in the development and delivery of the undergraduate and graduate business programs in the School of New Dimensions.

Qualifications:  Doctorate required.  Terminal or advanced degrees in finance, economics, or related field preferred.  Candidates should have 3 years of teaching experience at the college level, 3 to 5 years of business experience, the ability to facilitate courses in a collaborative learning model, and the ability to advise adult professionals.  Candidates proximal to New Haven County, Connecticut, are preferred.

Part-time Graduate Instructor Position in the area of Education: Albertus Magnus College seeks an instructor for a unique position that blends teaching and program advisory responsibilities in a Master of Science in Education Program at the School of New Dimensions, East Hartford Learning Center.

Qualifications:  Doctoral degree required.  Ideal candidates should have teaching experience at both the K-12 and college/university levels.  Initial teaching responsibilities focus on historical and philosophical roots of contemporary and public education, as well as educational psychology.

Part-time Position – Educational Assistant
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Responsibilities:  Providing administrative support to the Academic Services Department.  Coordinating, entering, manipulating, and tracking faculty data through the use of various databases, as well as coordinating, generating, and tracking departmental correspondence and documents.

Skills:  Computer competency, detail-oriented, accurate, analytical, highly organized, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to handle a multi-task environment, and works well independently.
